Our 2007 San Diego Jazz Party was truly one of the best ever, and was almost a sellout. Our attendees from across the United States and from abroad responded enthusiastically to the performances of our world-class, mainstream jazz musicians, all of whom are well-known recording artists. We have an annual tradition of honoring one of our musicians as an SDJP "Jazz Legend" for making an outstanding contribution to America's jazz heritage. In 2007, we honored Jeannie Cheatham and her late husband, Jimmy Cheatham. Past honorees have been the late Barney Kessell and trumpet legend Joe Wilder. Our "Jazz Legend" for our 2008 party will be renowned pianist Dick Hyman.

Our 2008 three-day festival will again be held in the ballroom of the Hilton San Diego/Del Mar, a great location for a weekend of classic jazz. Those purchasing weekend-long Patron badges will again be our guests on Friday afternoon for our hosted Jazz Cocktail Party and for our Saturday morning Jazz Brunch. From now until June 15, you can purchase Patron badges at $200 per person. After June 15, the price will be $220, so get your orders in now. SDJP is a non-profit organization.
